Combine multiple components into one.

This is useful when creating jobs that performs many different operations as one session.

A Collection can reference all types of Components including other Collections for nested operations.

The Job log will span all referenced Components and can be viewed/searched in both flat and hierarchical format.

System Parameters
When the component starts, the system Parameter [<<SessionDateTimeNow>>] is updated and will be the same value for all referenced components.
If the job completes with no errors (or within the allowed threshold) the system Parameter
[<<SessionDateTimeLast>>] is updated to the value of and [<<SessionDateTimeNow>>], otherwise it is unchanged.
These 2 timestamps can be used as arguments for incremental jobs in SQL statements, SharePoint filters and file selection filters.
Please note that the the value of the 2 parameters is local to the Component in context. All Components that are executed has their own set of values except when referenced from within a Collection.

User defined Parameter assignment
When the components starts executing a set of
user defined parameters can be assigned.
To enable parameter assignment – see the option Tab.

A script can optionally be executed before any of the referenced Components executes.
And another script can be executed after all components have completed.

To create a Collection Component – select the menu “File>>New Component” and choose “Collection”

To insert a reference to other Components – use the menu “Insert>>Component”
